Under the "Vande Gujarat" program, the Government of Gujarat has provided DTH programs related to education, skill development, women empowerment, computer training, health, agriculture and animal husbandry, departmental training and extension, digital knowledge, sanitation campaign, etc. (Direct to Home) technology to deliver home on TV for free. Broadcasting of 12 channels under "Vande Gujarat" has been formally started from October 2016.

For broadcasting of these channels, the state government has set up 10 studios, 12 channel bays band set-up, content development facility and two digital uplink earth stations (teleport) of 11 meters and 5.5 meters at Bayseg. Gujarat is the only state with such a facility. Broadcasting of 14 channels under "Vande Gujarat" is available on Doordarshan's "DD Free Dish" (DTH) and on cell phones on "JioTV" application.
